The Most Unfunny Information Technology (IT) Story of All Time
I set out today to provide my normal humorous Saturday blog post about a funny aspect of the Information Technology profession. In the past, I have featured jokes, comics, cartoons, and news.
This week I thought that I would scour the net to find the funniest IT story that I could and share it with you. Unfortunately, what I found scared the heck out of me. I found hundreds of information technology stories that claimed to be funny, but were actually very very very unfunny.
Stuck with a hard deadline for this post, I decided to take a cue from newspapers and flip the story! I decided to hunt for the absolute worst, most lame information technology story that I could locate.
After extensive research and peer review, I present the un-scientifically determined most UNFUNNY IT story of all time!
Here it is:
Scene: One of hundreds of IT Help Desks out there –
A woman phones up and explains that her coffee cup holder has broken on her PC.
Having never heard of a coffee cup holder on a PC, the techy was puzzled.
To try and makes heads or tales of what he was being told, he asked her to describe it and to tell him what is written on it.
She replies, "4x".
Ahhh… Well if that did not bring sad tears to your IT Pro eye, I don’t know what could.
Do you know of a worst one? Do you have a more ridiculous waste of humor space than that one? If so, please share and save us from this one!
Have a great weekend, one and all.
