I am taking a week of vacation.  Today’s post is a Best of 2009 Post.  It celebrates some of the best content from the site based upon user feedback and analytics.  It was originally posted on this day.  I hope that you enjoy it!

This is another in my normal humorous Saturday blog post series about a funny aspect of the Information Technology profession. In the past, I have featured jokes, comics, cartoons, and news. We are back for another round of Information Technology BuzzWord Bingo today! I have taken a real liking to this game and recommend that you give it a try to keep meetings fun.

For the uninitiated. you start with a group of confidants that have prepared Bingo cards prior to a meeting. Then as the speaker uses various Buzzwords, you cross them off on your personal score card. If you get to five across, with the center square being a free space, you have to tell the others that you have "Bingo" and you become the winner. It depends on the corporate culture if you actually get to yell, "BINGO!", or not! Background links:

If you want to quickly get a card for your next tech meeting, you can get a random one ready made for printing at businessbuzzwordbingo.com. But, for more fun, here are two great links to online Buzzword Bingo Card generators if you want to customize one for your office:

Above, you can see a sample Buzzworrd Bingo Card that I made for information technology! If you click on it, the full text is much more visible. Maybe you can print that one out and try it? Let me know if you get BINGO! Enjoy, but don’t get caught by your boss! Please share if you have played this game at work as well.

That is my Information Technology Thought of the Day (ITTOD) for December 29, 2009.

Note: Buzzword Bingo Card created using businessbuzzwordbingo.com.

Happy New Year to you and your loved ones.  Don’t forget that our Amazon Holiday Store is still open and a great way to support the site!
