More Dilbert Training for The IT Help Desk
I usually feature comedy on Saturdays. In the past, I have featured jokes, comics, cartoons, and news on the weekends. Sometimes I include comics, stories, games, and photos. Today, we have a classic cartoon to give you a smile.
I really love Dilbert. I think that Scott Adams is a genius when it comes to the act of making technology, the workplace, and the march of time hysterical. I think that he is probably responsible for more laughs from me at work than any other person. He simply has a great way of making Information Technology and the Information Age funny instead of depressing.
The funniest part of this comic is that it rings so very true. If you run, manage, or work on an Enterprise IT Service Desk, you will immediately recognize the joke here. It is far too common to have mangers forget what is really important and completely mess up the incentivizing for its help desk employees and end up here. I am absolutely sure that you have called a Help Desk and gotten this treatment. What are you doing at work to prevent this?
Do you love Dilbert? Do you have a favorite one that is Information Technology based? Can you share it? Are there other IT comics that you recommend? Please comment.
That is my Information Technology Thought of the Day (ITTOD) for February 13, 2010.
