IT Computer Poem of the Week
1
OK, today is another IT Thought of the Day Poem Day!
On Saturdays, I try very hard to honor the weekend by making my posts have a humorous bent. I have featured videos, jokes, stories, comics, music, and today, I offer you the IT Poem of the Week!
You have to love that name! They have many humorous poems on their site. I hope that you both enjoy it and go to their site to see all the other funny IT poems that they have. This week’s poem is a gift from Silent Words. It was Submitted by Burmah M. Teague from Chickamauga, GA (EMAIL: burmahteague@msn.com)
Today’s poem is just as relevant to IT Pros as it is to average users. Every single computer user can appreciate this one!
MY COMPUTER
My computer has a language
That is foreign to me
It speaks of RAM and Gigabytes
And what could ROM be!
I don’t understand the Windows
My computer says are there
Nor the Gem Clip at the side of my page
With eyes that blink and stare!
I don’t understand the cures
That maintenance wizards do
It’s called defragmenter, scan disk,
And virus cleaning too!
Yet, computer and I work hand and eye
With a mouse to translate
The tasks that I want it to do
While IT points out my mistakes!
What do you think? Do you know of any other good IT joke sites or artists? Do you have any IT humor to share? Have a great weekend.

Dilbert Videos! Who Hates MBAs?
0I love Scott Adam’s Dilbert cartoons. I have featured them before on this site. Today, i happened to discover that his animation is also featured on YouTube! I could not resist the urge to highlight this. He even has a Dilbert Channel there. They are even keyword searchable!
I usually feature comedy on Saturdays. In the past, I have featured jokes, comics, cartoons, and news on the weekends. Sometimes I include comics, stories, games, and photos. By far, though, humor and especially videos with Information Technology (IT) themes have been the most popular. So I have gone back to this endless well of laughs! I simply cannot get enough of comedy videos!
For this week, I have picked this video to share with you as follow-up. It is called “Dilbert: Different Situations and MBA”… It is by Scott Adam’s and it just plain funny and frighteningly accurate. If MBAs are too close to home for you, you can just think, “IT Consultant” and it will be just as funny!
I hope that I gave you a chuckle to make your weekend a little brighter. I will be back Monday with more serious topics!
What did you think of the video? Funny? Do you know of any other similar movies or clips? Please share.

Google Street View Parody Videos
0Even though most people consider Google’s Street View feature within maps to be pure magic, there are some who think that the bounds of privacy have been completely exceeded. This has spawned a cottage industry of professional and amateur parody videos that are simply hysterical.
I usually feature comedy on Saturdays. In the past, I have featured jokes, comics, cartoons, and news on the weekends. Sometimes I include comics, stories, games, and photos. I simply cannot get enough of comedy videos!
For this week, I have picked this video to share with you as follow-up. It is called “NewsTopia – Google Street View”… It is by NewsTopia and placed on YouTube by Yyookkyy and it just plain funny and frighteningly accurate. NewsTopia is an Australian sketch comedy show. They have a great write up on Wikipedia.
The most humorous part of all of this is that it is all so true. Some of the jokes hit a bit close to home!
I hope that I gave you a chuckle to make your weekend a little brighter. I will be back Monday with more serious topics!
