I’m On A Mac – Fan Video
0I usually feature comedy on Saturdays. In the past, I have featured jokes, comics, cartoons, and news on the weekends. Sometimes I include comics, stories, games, and photos. By far, though, humor and especially videos have been the most popular. So I have gone back to this endless well of laughs!
I have picked this video to share with you as follow-up. It is called “I’m on a Mac”… It is one of the endless fan videos created to honor the mackintosh platform and is provided on Youtube by pantlessknights and it just plain funny. I am always amazed that the Apple products create such loyal fans. I am sure that this video took hours, if not days, to create!
WARNING: Soundtrack is loud and contains barely “beeped over” bad words. While this might be considered radio safe, it is probably not work safe!
pantlessknights have a bunch more and you can follow this link and subscribe to his video site.
I hope that I gave you a chuckle to make your weekend a little brighter. I will be back tomorrow with more serious topics!
What did you think of the video? Do you know of any other similar movies or clips? Please share.

Humor: Mac vs. PC (Video)
3Saturdays were always some of my favorite days of the week. My editorial decision to feature a humorous blog item every week on that day fits well with this. In the past, I have featured jokes, comics, cartoons, and news. For the past two weeks, I featured videos and they have turned out to be among my most popular posts! So not being one to mess with success, I am back this week with another silly IT themed video!
After “investing” another hour searching, watching, and laughing, I have picked this video to share with you. It is called Mac vs PC and it is very very funny. It is by Peacer and it is an awesome spoof on the age old Mac vs. PC debate mixed in with some completely amazing Transformer-esque special effects.
This video makes a great IT thought because it not features two competing information age computing platforms, but also shows the amazing computational power of your average desktop. These special effects were not rendered by a server farm of graphics artists! They were done by a couple of guys on their desktop computers! Spend a few minutes considering how far we have come if amateurs can pull this tech off.
What did you think of the video? Did it ring true to you? Does it apply to your organization? Is two in two weeks too much? I hope that you laughed again.
Do you know of any other funny IT themed videos or video sites? If so, please do share with us all.

Poll: New Media Exposure
0Today, our Information Thought of the Day (ITTOD) is a poll subject.
We seem to be on the tipping point for new media this morning. Last evening, “Dr. Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog” won the first ever new-media Emmy Award for Short-format Live-Action – Special Class. This is ground breaking stuff. You can read about it at Whedonesque or here. So in that light, I was wondering how many of you, readers, are engaged with new on a daily basis. Please answer the poll below.
I will be sure to share the results.
Do you like polls as a daily topic? Do you have a recommended one for another week? Please let me know.
